The 7th TCG Memorial English Debate Competition was held at TCG Public School on August 30, 2024. This competition is organized every year on August 30. Participants from 14 schools in Kotdwar participated in the competition. The junior group consisted of classes 6-8 and the senior group consisted of classes 9-12. The main topic for the junior group was "Should there be a limit on screen time?" and for the senior group, it was "Can AI replace humans?" The chief guest for the competition was Tehsildar Mrs. Sakshi Upadhyay. She was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by Principal Mrs. Neena Ghindiyal. The judges' panel consisted of Mr. Vikas, a member of the BJYM Science Department, and Mr. Anil Singh Rawat, a member of NTT Data Digital Solutions. The judges thoroughly assessed the skills of the participants.

 

In the junior group, TCG Public School secured the first position, AVN School secured the second position, and Bal Bharti Public School secured the third position. In the senior group, AVN School secured the first position, TCG Public School secured the second position, and Nav Yug and Happy Home Public School secured the third position.

 

Representatives from all schools delivered speeches, and finally, all the guests present delivered speeches. The main purpose of all their speeches was that "winning is not necessary, but participating is necessary". The entire competition was organized in the school's auditorium. The stage was managed by the students of TCG Public School.
